Some of my NYC Favorites

Since visiting NYC for the first time after college, I have started collecting some of my favorite NYC spots. Friends always ask me for my recommendations, and while some change overtime, others are timeless, and I am happy to share some of them with you here.

Suggestions for a memorable time in NYC any season:

  • Wall Street & Bull ~15 Minutes from the Brooklyn Bridge
  • Federal Hall
  • Grand Central Terminal
  • Empire State Building
  • One World Trade Center and memorial
  • Visit one of the many other neighborhoods
    • Enjoy a real Manhattan neighborhood like Lower East Side
    • West Village (for all the SATC fans)
    • East Village
    • SOHO Boutiques
Central Park
WTC

  • Take the popular L train from SOHO to Bedford/Williamsburg. Find great eats and/or walk to 90 Kent Avenue for Manhattan’s infamous skyline. If you’re there between April-October and happen to be there on a Saturday, you will come to Smorgasburg, the largest food market in the US. Check Central Park on weekends
  • Central Park
  • Rockefeller Center and Observation deck on Top of The Rock

  • Broadway Show: Discounted and last minute tickets could be purchased through TKTS and Today Tix
  • Museums: MET, Guggenheim, MoMA, Cooper Hewitt to name a few. Some museums have free days or discounted hours if you’re trying to rush through.
  • Shopping on 5th Avenue and Madison & Flatiron
Guggenheim
